After nearly three decades as a proud member of IBEW Local 1186, I would like to formally announce that I will be a candidate for Business Manager in the upcoming election. Learn More

OUR priorities for the

future of Local 1186 are:

Responsible Stewardship

Every dollar in our general fund and benefit trust funds belongs to the membership. Our responsibility as leaders is to manage those funds carefully and responsibly so they remain strong for generations of union members who come after us.

Preparing Members for the Future

The electrical industry is rapidly evolving. Artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced electrical systems are becoming part of our work. Our union must stay ahead of these changes by expanding training opportunities and making sure our members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow.

Enforcing the Contract

Our agreements set the standard for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions. I am committed to ensuring those standards are upheld and that issues are addressed promptly and professionally.

Strategic Growth Through Organizing

A strong union must continue to grow. Our goal is to expand our membership through diversification. This includes continuing to organize electrical contractors and workers, focusing on the private telecom and federal sectors, and identifying new organizing opportunities in the professional and industrial sectors. By growing our union, we strengthen our bargaining power and create more opportunities for union workers.

Strong Representation and Member Engagement

Our union is more than just dues and contracts. By investing in our members through professional development, education, and growth opportunities, we will strengthen connections and build the solidarity that makes our union strong.

Developing the Next Generation of Leaders

The future strength of Local 1186 depends on developing the next generation of union leaders. I am committed to mentoring and creating opportunities for members to step into leadership roles within the union so that our local remains strong, active, and well-led for years to come.
